About Storge
Who we are, where we are and what we deliver.
Storge Engenharia designs and manufactures, in Piraquara (Brazil), sensors, controllers and automation panels for ventilation and HVAC: the STG line. Hardware, firmware and panel come from the same house.
Rod. João Leopoldo Jacomel, 4459 · Piraquara/PR · CEP 83302-000. Business hours Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm (BRT).
Five: indoor air quality monitoring, demand-controlled ventilation, car park ventilation and exhaust, emergency stairwell pressurisation and AHU automation, including the complete panel for AHUs, compatible with the main manufacturers in Brazil.
Yes. The STG controllers and sensors and the automation panels are designed and manufactured in-house. That removes the generic PLC and allows firmware dedicated to each application.
STG line
Sensors, controllers and drives of the STG network.
Storge's family of sensors, controllers and drives: STG MINI (reads and communicates only), STG QAI (measures and actuates, with display), STG CPD (differential pressure and airflow), STG AHU (set for air handling units) and STG DRV (fan drive). The complete panel for AHUs is the supply option of the AHU set.
With each other, over the STG wireless network. With the BMS, over Modbus RS-485 on the products that have that interface (QAI, CPD, AHU and panel). The whole line has a web interface: configuration and operation in the browser, with no proprietary software or licence. The MINI speaks only over the STG network.
Yes, over Modbus RS-485 (QAI, CPD, AHU and complete panel). The Modbus register map comes with the product documentation.
The MINI is a pure sensor: it measures temperature, humidity, CO and CO₂ (depending on the package) and sends the readings over the STG network, with no display and no outputs. The QAI adds a 4.3" display, a 10 A relay output and a 0–10 V output: it measures and drives the equipment in the same device, with no intermediate controller.
The DRV sits next to the fan and commands single-phase AC (relay) or EC (0–10 V) motors from the STG network. A three-phase fan needs a variable frequency drive, defined in the project configuration; the controller is still the CPD, the QAI or the AHU.
AHUs
STG AHU set and complete panel for air handling units.
Yes. The panel is designed to operate with AHUs, fan coils and fan coil units from the main manufacturers in Brazil, sized for the contracted configuration.
Yes. Each panel is sized for the machine and the contracted configuration, with no component that will not be used. Built to NR-10 and IEC 61439.
No. The STG AHU set (room module + machine module) is the controller: own hardware and firmware, with no generic PLC or extra programming layer.
Fresh air
Demand-controlled ventilation and indoor air quality.
NBR 16401 is the Brazilian standard for indoor air quality in buildings. Storge also adopts ASHRAE 62.1 as a reference.
It depends on real occupancy: the system ventilates only when the CO₂, temperature or humidity reading calls for it, instead of keeping a fixed airflow all the time. That is why we do not publish a generic figure.
The STG MINI or STG QAI measures the room air. Ventilation is commanded on/off or proportionally: by the QAI itself, by an STG DRV at the fan (over the STG wireless network) or, when the AHU takes part, by the STG AHU set, which modulates the machine's airflow.
Corporate offices, hospitals and clinics, schools and auditoriums, laboratories and technical rooms.
Stairwell pressurisation
Continuous differential pressure control in emergency stairwells.
NBR 14880, complemented by the fire brigade technical instruction applicable in each state. The STG CPD keeps the differential pressure within the configured range, with setpoint and history on screen.
The STG CPD reads the differential pressure with its built-in sensor and modulates the fan continuously through the compatible drive. That removes the mechanical relief damper and avoids jammed doors, the classic problem of on/off systems.
The STG CPD controller, the fan drive (DRV for single-phase, frequency drive for three-phase), the made-to-measure pressurisation panel when contracted and the pressurisation fan, sized per project according to the building height and number of floors.
Car park ventilation
Demand-controlled ventilation and exhaust by CO, with no control cabling.
STG MINI CO sensors are spread across the car park; each jet fan and each exhaust fan gets an STG DRV. The fans only run when there is a real CO concentration, and the response is coordinated by the configured rule. Alarms fire if the limits are exceeded.
A traditional system ventilates at fixed airflow all the time; the demand-controlled system starts and speeds up the fans from the CO reading. The savings depend on the car park occupancy; that is why we do not publish a generic figure.
Yes. Sensors and DRVs speak over the STG wireless network: there is no need to run a control cable to each fan, which makes retrofits possible without invasive works.
